House Lords for All Twelve Ascendants

The ascendant decides which sign falls in each house, and so which graha lords it. With whole-sign houses the rule is simple: the rising sign is the 1st, the next sign the 2nd, and each house’s lord is its sign’s ruler. Rows are ascendants, columns houses; each cell names the lord and links to the page that works out where that lord is strong and weak for that ascendant.

How the ascendant, the houses and the grahas are read together is in how to read your kundli. The ascendant can also be read by nakshatra: how long each of the 27 rises, and the lagna each pada gives. Where each house lord sits, counted the other way, is on every house lord in every house. To find your own ascendant, use the ascendant calculator; for the difference between the rising sign and the Moon sign, rashi and lagna.
