The 10th Lord for Taurus Ascendant: Saturn
10th house = Aquarius · lord Saturn · also lord of the 9th
With Taurus rising, the 10th house is Aquarius, the 10th sign counted from Taurus, and Aquarius is ruled by Saturn. So for Taurus ascendant the 10th lord is Saturn, which also rules the 9th through Capricorn: one graha holds the 10th and the 9th together for this ascendant. The 10th is a kendra and an upachaya, and the 9th a trikona. That pairing puts a kendra and a trikona other than the 1st in one graha’s hands for Taurus ascendant.
The lagna lord, Venus, and the 10th lord, Saturn, count each other a friend for Taurus ascendant. The 10th’s matters are career and profession, public reputation, authority and achievements; with Taurus rising they sit in Aquarius, a fixed air sign that is the 11th of the natural zodiac.
