The 8th Lord for Pisces Ascendant: Venus
8th house = Libra · lord Venus · also lord of the 3rd
With Pisces rising, the 8th house is Libra, the 8th sign counted from Pisces, and Libra is ruled by Venus. So for Pisces ascendant the 8th lord is Venus, which also rules the 3rd through Taurus: one graha holds the 8th and the 3rd together for this ascendant. The 8th is a dusthana, and the 3rd an upachaya.
The lagna lord, Jupiter, counts Venus an enemy, while Venus counts Jupiter neutral: for Pisces ascendant the 1st and 8th lords do not see each other the same way. The 8th’s matters are sudden change, occult and research and inheritance; with Pisces rising they sit in Libra, a movable air sign that is the 7th of the natural zodiac.
Libra as the 8th House of Pisces Ascendant
