The 5th Lord for Pisces Ascendant: Moon
5th house = Cancer · lord Moon
With Pisces rising, the 5th house is Cancer, the 5th sign counted from Pisces, and Cancer is ruled by the Moon. So for Pisces ascendant the 5th lord is the Moon, which rules no other sign, so for Pisces ascendant it holds the 5th alone. The 5th is a trikona.
The lagna lord, Jupiter, counts the Moon a friend, while the Moon counts Jupiter neutral: for Pisces ascendant the 1st and 5th lords do not see each other the same way. The 5th’s matters are children, creativity and arts, romance and higher learning; with Pisces rising they sit in Cancer, a movable water sign that is the 4th of the natural zodiac.
Cancer as the 5th House of Pisces Ascendant
Cancer exalts Jupiter, deepest at 5°, so for Pisces ascendant Jupiter is exalted in the 5th; it debilitates Mars at 28°, so Mars is debilitated in the 5th. Opposite, across the chart, the 11th holds Capricorn, ruled by Saturn.
