Those visits are not equal, and the variation is real rather than rounding. The Moon’s longest stay in Cancer is 53h02m, beginning 27 March 2026; its shortest is 47h29m, beginning 1 August 2027 — a spread of 5h33m. The cause is the Moon’s elliptical orbit: it travels slowest near apogee and fastest near perigee, so a sign it crosses near apogee holds it well over two and a half days, and the same sign crossed near perigee barely two.

The Moon also combusts: within 12° of the Sun, which is why an Amavasya birth carries a weak Moon. A combust Moon in Cancer is read as weakened whatever the dignity above says, which is the standard case where the textbook verdict and the actual sky disagree.
