The 6th Lord for Sagittarius Ascendant: Venus
6th house = Taurus · lord Venus · also lord of the 11th
With Sagittarius rising, the 6th house is Taurus, the 6th sign counted from Sagittarius, and Taurus is ruled by Venus. So for Sagittarius ascendant the 6th lord is Venus, which also rules the 11th through Libra: one graha holds the 6th and the 11th together for this ascendant. The 6th is a dusthana and an upachaya, and the 11th an upachaya.
The lagna lord, Jupiter, counts Venus an enemy, while Venus counts Jupiter neutral: for Sagittarius ascendant the 1st and 6th lords do not see each other the same way. The 6th’s matters are debts and loans, service and routine and enemies; with Sagittarius rising they sit in Taurus, a fixed earth sign that is the 2nd of the natural zodiac.
Taurus as the 6th House of Sagittarius Ascendant
Taurus exalts the Moon, deepest at 3°, so for Sagittarius ascendant the Moon is exalted in the 6th, and it debilitates none. Opposite, across the chart, the 12th holds Scorpio, ruled by Mars.
