The 7th Lord for Capricorn Ascendant: Moon
7th house = Cancer · lord Moon
With Capricorn rising, the 7th house is Cancer, the 7th sign counted from Capricorn, and Cancer is ruled by the Moon. So for Capricorn ascendant the 7th lord is the Moon, which rules no other sign, so for Capricorn ascendant it holds the 7th alone. The 7th is a kendra.
The lagna lord, Saturn, counts the Moon an enemy, while the Moon counts Saturn neutral: for Capricorn ascendant the 1st and 7th lords do not see each other the same way. The 7th’s matters are spouse or partner, marriage, business partnerships and public relations; with Capricorn rising they sit in Cancer, a movable water sign that is the 4th of the natural zodiac.
Cancer as the 7th House of Capricorn Ascendant
Cancer exalts Jupiter, deepest at 5°, so for Capricorn ascendant Jupiter is exalted in the 7th; it debilitates Mars at 28°, so Mars is debilitated in the 7th. The house holds Punarvasu (pada 4), Pushya (all four padas) and Ashlesha (all four padas), whose lords are Jupiter, Saturn and Mercury; the Moon rules none of them. Opposite, across the chart, the 1st holds Capricorn, ruled by Saturn.
Where the Moon Is Strong and Weak, as Houses of Capricorn Ascendant

The Moon Through the 7th and Its Exaltation House, 2026–2028
The Moon crosses Cancer, the 7th house of Capricorn ascendant, 40 times between 2026 and 2028, for 47 to 53 hours at a time, and Taurus, its exaltation house for Capricorn, 40 times. Its own monthly round makes the 7th lord’s transit of the 7th a recurring event rather than a date.
