The 7th Lord in the 7th House
Kalatra Bhava lord in its own bhava · its own house · twelve ascendants computed
The 7th lord in the 7th house is the ruler of the 7th sitting in its own bhava. The 7th is the Kalatra Bhava (Kalatra means spouse — the house of the other), a kendra. Which graha that lord is depends on the ascendant, so the table below answers for all twelve.
On the Parashari reading, in which a lord carries its house’s matters to wherever it sits, the 7th lord in the 7th keeps the 7th’s matters — spouse or partner, marriage, business partnerships and public relations — under their own lord. For the 7th lord in the 7th that is a frame, not a forecast; what it comes to depends on the graha, its dignity below, and the rest of the chart.

Across the twelve ascendants the 7th lord in the 7th is exalted for Pisces and in its own sign for Aries, Taurus, Gemini, Cancer, Leo, Virgo, Libra, Scorpio, Sagittarius, Capricorn and Aquarius. The Sun and the Moon rule one sign each, so for Capricorn and Aquarius, where one of them is the 7th lord, it rules no other house; for the other ten the last column gives the second house the 7th lord also holds.
