The 5th Lord for Libra Ascendant: Saturn
5th house = Aquarius · lord Saturn · also lord of the 4th
With Libra rising, the 5th house is Aquarius, the 5th sign counted from Libra, and Aquarius is ruled by Saturn. So for Libra ascendant the 5th lord is Saturn, which also rules the 4th through Capricorn: one graha holds the 5th and the 4th together for this ascendant. The 5th is a trikona, and the 4th a kendra. That pairing puts a kendra and a trikona other than the 1st in one graha’s hands for Libra ascendant.
The lagna lord, Venus, and the 5th lord, Saturn, count each other a friend for Libra ascendant. The 5th’s matters are children, creativity and arts, romance and higher learning; with Libra rising they sit in Aquarius, a fixed air sign that is the 11th of the natural zodiac.
