The 12th Lord for Virgo Ascendant: Sun
12th house = Leo · lord Sun
With Virgo rising, the 12th house is Leo, the 12th sign counted from Virgo, and Leo is ruled by the Sun. So for Virgo ascendant the 12th lord is the Sun, which rules no other sign, so for Virgo ascendant it holds the 12th alone. The 12th is a dusthana.
The lagna lord, Mercury, counts the Sun a friend, while the Sun counts Mercury neutral: for Virgo ascendant the 1st and 12th lords do not see each other the same way. The 12th’s matters are expenses and losses, foreign residence, spiritual liberation and subconscious mind; with Virgo rising they sit in Leo, a fixed fire sign that is the 5th of the natural zodiac.
Leo as the 12th House of Virgo Ascendant
Leo exalts no graha in signs.js, so no graha is exalted in the 12th for Virgo ascendant, and it debilitates none. The house holds Magha (all four padas), Purva Phalguni (all four padas) and Uttara Phalguni (pada 1), whose lords are Ketu, Venus and the Sun; the Sun rules one of them, Uttara Phalguni, so for Virgo ascendant the 12th lord also owns a nakshatra inside the 12th. Opposite, across the chart, the 6th holds Aquarius, ruled by Saturn.
