The 12th Lord for Aquarius Ascendant: Saturn
12th house = Capricorn · lord Saturn · also lord of the 1st
With Aquarius rising, the 12th house is Capricorn, the 12th sign counted from Aquarius, and Capricorn is ruled by Saturn. So for Aquarius ascendant the 12th lord is Saturn, which also rules the 1st through Aquarius: one graha holds the 12th and the 1st together for this ascendant. The 12th is a dusthana, and the 1st a kendra and a trikona.
Saturn is also the lagna lord of Aquarius ascendant, so the 12th and the 1st share one ruler. The 12th’s matters are expenses and losses, foreign residence, spiritual liberation and subconscious mind; with Aquarius rising they sit in Capricorn, a movable earth sign that is the 10th of the natural zodiac.
Capricorn as the 12th House of Aquarius Ascendant
Capricorn exalts Mars, deepest at 28°, so for Aquarius ascendant Mars is exalted in the 12th; it debilitates Jupiter at 5°, so Jupiter is debilitated in the 12th.
