The 11th Lord for Scorpio Ascendant: Mercury
11th house = Virgo · lord Mercury · also lord of the 8th
With Scorpio rising, the 11th house is Virgo, the 11th sign counted from Scorpio, and Virgo is ruled by Mercury. So for Scorpio ascendant the 11th lord is Mercury, which also rules the 8th through Gemini: one graha holds the 11th and the 8th together for this ascendant. The 11th is an upachaya, and the 8th a dusthana.
The lagna lord, Mars, counts Mercury an enemy, while Mercury counts Mars neutral: for Scorpio ascendant the 1st and 11th lords do not see each other the same way. The 11th’s matters are income and gains, friends and networks, aspirations and elder siblings; with Scorpio rising they sit in Virgo, a dual earth sign that is the 6th of the natural zodiac.
