The 11th Lord in the 12th House

The 11th lord in the 12th house is the ruler of the 11th, the Labha Bhava, placed in the 12th, the Vyaya / Moksha Bhava. The 11th is an upachaya and the 12th a dusthana. Which graha that lord is depends on the ascendant, so the table below answers for all twelve.

Where the 12th lord sits in the 11th in the same chart as the 11th lord in the 12th, each lord occupies the other’s sign, an exchange the texts call parivartana. That is possible for eleven ascendants. For Pisces (Saturn) one graha rules both the 11th and the 12th, so there is nothing to exchange.
