Aquarius Rashifal December 2027 (Kumbha Rashi): December’s Two Exact Conjunctions Land in Your Most Public House and Your Most Private One
Published 2026-08-22 | Live Pandit Ji
December 2027 contains exactly two conjunctions in which two planets stand at the same degree, and both of them fall in houses that belong to Kumbha. The Sun meets Mercury in your tenth house at 3:46 am on Sunday 12 December. Venus meets Rahu in your twelfth around Thursday 23 December.
Those are the two ends of the chart. The tenth is the most public house you have — career, standing, what people can see you do. The twelfth is the most private — expenditure, sleep, withdrawal, the part of your life no one is auditing. December gives one exact event to each, eleven days apart, and nothing else this month is exact at all.
You will notice that this page gives one of them a minute and the other only a day. That is not carelessness, and it is worth a paragraph, because Kumbha is the sign of the person who wants to know how the number was arrived at.
Why One Gets a Minute and the Other Gets a Day
The Sun and Mercury are both bodies whose positions a modern ephemeris knows to a fraction of an arcsecond. Their meeting at 25°23′ of Scorpio, in Jyeshtha pada 3, happens at 3:46 am on Sunday 12 December, and any competent table will agree with that to within a minute or two. So the minute is printed.
Rahu is different. The lunar node is not a body; it is an intersection, and there are two standard ways to compute it. The mean node smooths the Moon’s wobble; the true node follows it. The two can stand as much as one and three-quarter degrees apart. Venus covers a little over a degree a day. So the answer to “when is Venus exact with Rahu” differs by more than a full day depending on which node you use — and printing a clock time would be claiming a precision that does not exist. You get Thursday 23 December, and the reason.
The same rule governs everything else here. Saturn’s station gets 8:45 am on Friday 24 December, because a station follows only from the geometry between the Earth and the planet. Rahu’s change of nakshatra on Saturday 18 December gets a day, because the node covers about three arcminutes an hour and the answer depends on where you draw the boundary. Precision is a claim about the data, not a style of writing.
A Burnt Mercury in Your Career House
Mercury is combust for every one of December’s thirty-one days. It begins the month about six degrees behind the Sun, comes to the Sun’s exact degree on the 12th, and is still only about eleven degrees ahead on the 31st — never once outside the twelve-degree orb the classical texts read as asta. For the first fortnight all of that is happening in your tenth house.
The Sun in the tenth is genuine visibility: your work is being looked at. Mercury burnt beside it is the account of that work going missing. So the specific risk is not that you are unnoticed — it is that you are noticed and described badly, by yourself as much as by anyone else. If a review, a presentation or a hand-over falls before the 15th, over-prepare the written version and let it speak.
Mercury covers 49°08′ in December, more ground than any other planet, and moves into your eleventh house at 2:03 am on Wednesday 15 December, with the Sun following at 4:33 pm on Thursday 16 December. A combust Mercury does not make the month slow. It makes it incomplete. Things get agreed with a clause missing, and the missing clause surfaces in January.
Sade Sati’s Closing Leg Stops Retreating
Saturn rules Kumbha, and Saturn spends December in Pisces — the second house from your rashi. That matters because Sade Sati is counted as Saturn’s passage through the twelfth, the first and the second from the janma rashi. Saturn has already crossed Makara and Kumbha. Pisces is the third and final leg, and this is where it is now.
It turns direct at 8:45 am on Friday 24 December, at 26°50′ of Revati pada 4 — the last quarter of the last nakshatra of the zodiac. That is one day after the Venus–Rahu meeting, and it is the more important of the two events. Retrograde Saturn in the closing leg is the version that keeps handing you back the same problem. From that Friday it stops handing it back.
At 26°50′ Saturn is three degrees ten minutes from the end of Pisces, which means the final leg genuinely is nearly over. This page will not print the date it ends. Saturn is covering roughly two degrees a month, and at that speed the exact instant of a sign boundary crossing depends on the ayanamsa a table uses rather than on the solar system — so the honest statement is that it falls in 2028 and that a specific minute for it would be invented. Our Sade Sati page explains how the legs are counted.
One more link in that chain. Saturn owns both your first house and your twelfth, so it is not only your ruler: it is the dispositor of the Venus–Rahu meeting as well. The station and that conjunction are the same planet’s business, one day apart.
The Twelfth House Fills Up
Capricorn is your twelfth house, and it gathers three bodies in twelve days. Rahu has held it all month, drifting backwards from 10°55′ to 9°17′ and retreating into Uttara Ashadha on the 18th. Venus arrives at 8:06 am on Wednesday 15 December. Mars arrives at 12:57 pm on Monday 27 December, exalted from the moment it crosses.
The twelfth house is where money leaves without a decision being made about it, and Venus with Rahu there is the pair that makes the leaving pleasant. Subscriptions, travel, comfort, generosity, the expensive small thing bought at the end of a long year. None of it will feel like a mistake at the time. Check the statement in January and you will find the total surprising.
An exalted Mars in the twelfth is a better signal than it sounds: Mars at full strength in the house of withdrawal favours effort spent on something private — a practice, a treatment, a piece of work with no audience. One arithmetical correction, though. Mars does not catch Rahu this month. It enters Capricorn at zero degrees and reaches only 3°29′ by the 31st while Rahu is at 9°17′, five degrees forty-eight minutes away. They share the house for five days without meeting.
There is a classical footnote worth one sentence. Some texts give Rahu a share in the lordship of Kumbha alongside Saturn. That is a view rather than a settled fact, and this page does not lean on it — but if you hold it, then the node in your twelfth house all December is a more personal matter than a transit through a distant house would be.
Jupiter Aspects Everything That Happens
Jupiter sits in Virgo, your eighth house, for the whole month, moving only 0°32′ to 3°03′ and never leaving Uttara Phalguni pada 2. The eighth is the house traditional texts like least for a benefic, because a benefic in a dusthana loses some of its direct effect. So read Jupiter this month by what it aspects rather than by where it sits.
From the eighth house its fifth, seventh and ninth aspects land on your twelfth, your second and your fourth — which is to say on the three-body gathering, on Sade Sati, and on the Full Moon. Every single event in your December is under the benefic’s eye, even though the benefic itself is badly placed. That is the month’s saving structure.
An honest qualification: Virgo is Mercury’s sign, and Mercury and Jupiter are not friends in the classical friendship table. This is not debilitation — Jupiter’s fall is in Capricorn — but it is an unfriendly host, and it means the support is conditional. Jupiter in an exacting sign helps the version of a thing that can be justified in detail. For Kumbha, which usually can, that is not much of a limitation.
Your Chandra Window Is December’s Second Longest
The Moon stands on Kumbha from 7:07 pm on Saturday 4 December to 7:39 am on Tuesday 7 December — sixty hours thirty-two minutes, with Sunday the 5th and Monday the 6th as its full days. Of December’s twelve Chandra windows only one is longer, and it beats yours by eleven minutes.
Two full days on the rashi is unusual, and it falls in the first week — before the burning peaks in your career house, before the twelfth house fills, and before Saturn turns. If there is one thing in December you want to be clear-headed and entirely yourself for, put it in that window rather than in the crowded last fortnight.

Week by Week
Thirty-one days from a Wednesday to a Friday, which leaves December with only four Saturdays — the 4th, 11th, 18th and 25th. Saturday is your ruler’s weekday, and the first of them opens your Chandra window while the last is the only one on which Saturn is already moving forward.
1–7 December
Your best week, and it is at the very start of the month. Venus enters Purva Ashadha at 8:22 pm on Wednesday the 1st, the Sun enters Jyeshtha at 1:28 pm on Friday the 3rd, the Moon reaches Kumbha at 7:07 pm on Saturday the 4th, Mars enters Purva Ashadha at 11:16 pm on Sunday the 5th, Mercury enters Jyeshtha at 2:24 pm on Monday the 6th, the Moon moves on at 7:39 am on Tuesday the 7th. Vivah Panchami falls on Friday 3 December.
8–14 December
The career house takes the month’s peak burning. Mokshada Ekadashi and Geeta Jayanti fall on Thursday 9 December; the Sun and Mercury are exact in your tenth house at 3:46 am on Sunday the 12th, with Venus changing nakshatra at 3:15 pm; the Full Moon forms in your fourth house at 9:38 pm on Monday the 13th. A tenth-house conjunction opposite a fourth-house lunation is the classic week for work and home pulling in opposite directions.
15–21 December
The handover. Mercury moves into your eleventh house at 2:03 am and Venus into your twelfth at 8:06 am on Wednesday the 15th; Dhanu Sankranti moves the Sun into your eleventh at 4:33 pm on Thursday the 16th and starts Kharmas; Rahu retreats a nakshatra in your twelfth on Saturday the 18th. The scrutiny comes off your work from mid-week, and the spending begins.
22–28 December
The month’s densest week. Venus meets Rahu’s degree in your twelfth house on Thursday the 23rd, with three nakshatra crossings the same day; Saturn turns direct in your second at 8:45 am on Friday the 24th; Mars arrives exalted in your twelfth at 12:57 pm on Monday the 27th; the New Moon forms in your eleventh at 1:42 am on Tuesday the 28th. The station is the event that matters here, not the conjunction.
29–31 December
Three days with your ruler moving forward for the first time in months, the Sun and Mercury in your income house, and an exalted Mars in your twelfth. The Sun enters Purva Ashadha at 6:44 pm on Wednesday the 29th. A good close for private work and a poor one for public claims.
Career and Money for Kumbha Rashi
Career is the first fortnight’s subject and it is the month’s exposed department. The Sun and a burnt Mercury occupy your tenth house until the middle of December, with their exact meeting at 3:46 am on Sunday 12 December. You are visible and your account of yourself is unreliable, which is a bad combination for anything improvised. It is a fine combination for anything prepared. Prepare.
From the middle of the month both move into your eleventh house of income and networks, where the New Moon then forms at 1:42 am on Tuesday 28 December. That is a reasonable place to begin something about earnings, and it comes four days after your ruler turns direct, which is the right order for once.
The leak is the twelfth house, which collects Venus from the 15th, an exalted Mars from the 27th, and Rahu throughout. Venus with Rahu in the house of loss around the 23rd is money going out agreeably. Jupiter aspects that house all month, which limits the damage rather than preventing it. Our financial remedies, career remedies and Rahu–Ketu remedies pages cover the practice.
Home, Family and Partnership
The Full Moon lands in your fourth house at 9:38 pm on Monday 13 December, opposite the Sun and a burnt Mercury in your tenth. That is the month’s domestic event, and its shape is a demand from home arriving at the exact moment work is most visible. Both are legitimate. Neither will wait. The one thing worth doing is not misdescribing either to the other, which is precisely what a combust Mercury tempts you into.
Saturn in your second house also governs family in the sense of the household’s resources and its speech, and Sade Sati’s closing leg has been running there. It turns direct at 8:45 am on Friday 24 December, which is the better date to reopen a family conversation about money than any date before it. The griha pravesh page for December 2027 has dates if a move is planned.
Your seventh house, Leo, holds no graha, so partnership is quiet by transit. The wedding calendar closes at Dhanu Sankranti, 4:33 pm on Thursday 16 December, and Kharmas runs to the middle of January, shutting sixteen of the month’s thirty-one days. Vivah Panchami falls on Friday 3 December. The marriage muhurat page has the surviving dates, and our marriage delay page covers a stalled match.
Health
Your sixth house of illness holds Ketu in Pushya for all thirty-one days. The sixth is an upachaya house where a malefic does its best work, so this is a favourable placement rather than a worrying one: it supports fighting something off. What Ketu specifically does there is make a complaint hard to name — real symptoms that do not match a category. Describe what you notice rather than what you think it is.
The twelfth house filling up is the month’s other physical note, since the twelfth governs sleep and hospitalisation. Venus there from the 15th and an exalted Mars from the 27th argue for rest that is actually rest and for exercise that is actually private. A combust Mercury for all thirty-one days is the administrative warning: referrals, results and authorisations are what go astray this month.
Kumbha’s standing weak points are the ankles, the circulation and the nervous system, all Saturn’s territory, and Saturn is retrograde until 8:45 am on Friday 24 December. Your Chandra window is 7:07 pm on Saturday 4 December to 7:39 am on Tuesday 7 December, with two full days inside it. Read our Shani remedies, Saturday fasting and Mercury remedies pages.
Remedies for Kumbha Rashi in December 2027
Four conditions define the month: the Sun and Mercury exact in your tenth house at 3:46 am on 12 December; Mercury combust for all thirty-one days; Venus exact with Rahu in your twelfth around Thursday 23 December; and Sade Sati’s final leg turning direct at 8:45 am on the 24th.
- Shani practice on the four Saturdays — 4, 11, 18 and 25 December: iron, sesame oil, black til, and service to someone who cannot repay it. Your ruler is in Sade Sati’s closing leg and retrograde for three of the four.
- Use the 5th and the 6th: two full Chandra days on your rashi, before the month gets crowded.
- Put it in writing before the 15th: a burnt Mercury in your career house means the spoken version of your work will not survive being repeated.
- Audit the twelfth-house spending around the 23rd: Venus with Rahu there makes money leave agreeably and without a decision.
- Reopen the family money conversation after the 24th: your ruler sits in your second house and only starts moving forward that morning.
- Budh practice on the five Wednesdays — 1, 8, 15, 22 and 29 December: green moong, Ganapati, and something written by hand. Mercury is burnt every day of the month.
- Fix nothing to the marriage calendar after the 16th: Kharmas runs from Dhanu Sankranti to the middle of January.
In Summary
For Kumbha Rashi, December 2027 puts both of the month’s exact conjunctions in your chart, at opposite ends of it. The Sun meets Mercury at 25°23′ of Scorpio in your tenth house at 3:46 am on Sunday 12 December — printed to the minute because the bodies are known to that precision. Venus meets Rahu at 9°44′ of Capricorn in your twelfth around Thursday 23 December — printed as a day, because the two standard node models disagree by more than a day.
Saturn, your ruler, is in Sade Sati’s third and final leg in your second house, and turns direct at 8:45 am on Friday 24 December at 26°50′ of Revati, three degrees ten minutes from the end of Pisces. Your twelfth house gathers Rahu, Venus from 8:06 am on the 15th and an exalted Mars from 12:57 pm on the 27th. The Full Moon forms in your fourth house at 9:38 pm on Monday 13 December and the New Moon in your eleventh at 1:42 am on Tuesday 28 December, and Jupiter aspects every one of those houses from your eighth for all thirty-one days.
All of this is computed for a whole sign, which is thirty degrees of sky and a great many different lives. Whether Sade Sati’s closing leg reads as relief or as unfinished business depends on where Saturn sits in your own chart, which of the nine Kumbha padas holds your natal Moon, and which dasha is running. Sade Sati’s last leg, and the day it stops retreating
Whether the 24th brings relief or merely a change of direction depends on where Saturn sits in your own chart, which pada holds your natal Moon, and which dasha is running.
