Capricorn Rashifal August 2027 (Makara Rashi): The Full Moon Lands on Your Sign Again, Six Minutes Before the Moon Leaves It

The Full Moon of August 2027 forms at 12:58 pm on Tuesday 17 August, at the very end of Capricorn, in the closing minutes of Dhanishta pada 2 — on Makara Rashi itself. The Moon leaves the sign at 1:04 pm. The lunation happens with six minutes of your sign left.

That is the second month in a row that the Full Moon has landed on Makara, and it lands at the opposite edge. In July it formed in the opening degrees of the sign; in August it forms in the last minutes of it. A Full Moon on your own rashi is an annual event; two in consecutive months, at the two ends of the sign, is what happens when a lunation cycle and a sidereal sign boundary drift past each other. It also closes the longest Chandra window of the month. The Moon is on Capricorn from 12:06 am on Sunday 15 August to 1:04 pm on Tuesday 17 August — sixty hours fifty-eight minutes, longer than any other sign gets in August 2027 — and the Full Moon arrives sixty hours fifty-two minutes into it. A Full Moon on the Rashi, With Rahu in the Same House

Rahu holds Capricorn for the whole month, moving backwards from 17°23′ to 15°45′ of Shravana. On the 17th it stands at roughly 16°30′, so the Full Moon is about thirteen and a half degrees away from it. Same sign, same house, not a conjunction — and the distinction matters, because a Moon–Rahu conjunction and a Moon–Rahu co-tenancy are different animals. This is the second.

Rahu on the rashi for a full month is the more consequential of the two facts. Classically it amplifies whatever the sign already does — for Makara, ambition, endurance and the willingness to be underestimated — and adds a restlessness that does not belong to Capricorn at all. People notice you more and understand you less. A Full Moon in that house is then the annual point at which your own position becomes fully visible to you: not a change, a reading.

Six Exact Conjunctions in Your Seventh House

August 2027 has eight exact conjunctions. July 2027 had one. For Makara Rashi, six of the eight happen in Cancer, your seventh house of partnership, between the 4th and the 12th, with Ketu sitting there for all thirty-one days. And the first New Moon of the month forms in that same house at 3:35 pm on Monday 2 August at 15°42′ of Cancer, in Pushya pada 4.

The Sun is exact with Ketu at 6:07 am on Wednesday 4 August at 17°13′. Venus is exact with Ketu at 11:15 pm on Thursday 5 August at 17°07′. Mercury is exact with Ketu at 3:16 am on Sunday 8 August at 17°01′. Then the three meet each other, deeper into the sign: Mercury with Venus at 11:59 am on Wednesday 11 August at 23°57′, the Sun with Mercury at 4:32 pm the same day at 24°20′, and the Sun with Venus at 5:50 am on Thursday 12 August at 24°52′ — the deepest point of Shukra asta.

A seventh house that busy, with a New Moon in it, is the clearest relationship fortnight Makara has had in a long time. Ketu there is the qualifier: what the partner or the counterparty brings tends to be adjacent to what you asked for, and the conversation goes somewhere neither of you planned. The Moon owns your seventh house, which makes lunations there unusually significant — and the New Moon of the 2nd is a genuine reset for the relationship, not merely a date.

Your Ruler Is Debilitated and Retrograde in Your Fourth

Saturn rules Makara, and in August 2027 it is debilitated in Aries — your fourth house of home, mother and property — for all thirty-one days. It turns retrograde at 11:04 pm on Monday 9 August, and it covers only 3°34′ to 3°13′ of Ashwini in the entire month: about a third of a degree, backwards.

We publish the station at 11:04 pm on the 9th to the minute and give Saturn’s position only as a sign, for a technical reason: a station is intrinsic to the geometry of the Earth and the planet and does not move if you change ayanamsa, whereas a sign crossing at 0.035 degrees a day does. One figure is defensible to the minute; the other is not.

Your own ruler weakened in your fourth house is the month’s real difficulty, and it shows up domestically: a repair that reveals a second problem, a property matter that goes back a step, a mother’s health or mood needing attention. Retrograde makes it retrospective — the thing returning is something already dealt with once. Jupiter is in Leo — your eighth house — for the whole month, running 6°54′ to 13°33′ from Magha into Purva Phalguni. Mercury joins it at 11:50 am on Saturday 14 August, Venus at 9:29 am on Monday 16 August, and the Sun in its own sign at 2:07 pm on Tuesday 17 August. Four planets in the eighth from that afternoon, two exact conjunctions there — Mercury with Jupiter at 4:16 am on Friday 20 August and Venus with Jupiter at 8:29 am on Thursday 26 August — and the second New Moon of the month forming there at 11:11 pm on Tuesday 31 August.

The eighth house is joint finances, inheritance, tax, insurance, surgery and research. Four planets in it is not a warning; it is a redirection. What August wants from Makara is the unglamorous eighth-house work — the settlement, the filing, the medical follow-up, the shared account that was never formally split. Jupiter there for the whole month is the best possible support for that: Guru in the eighth is classically protective, and it is the graha of the well-drafted document.

Both those conjunctions occur with Jupiter combust — Guru asta runs from 16 August to 15 September — and the second with Venus combust too, since Shukra asta covers all thirty-one days and is deepest on the 12th. So the eighth-house arrangements get made in August and confirmed later. Two New Moons in one calendar month is uncommon; for Makara they fall in your seventh and eighth houses, which between them describe every negotiation you are going to have.

Two things to note, and one of them is favourable. The favourable one: the eighth house, which governs surgery and chronic conditions, holds four planets from the 17th including Jupiter for the whole month — which is the classical support for a procedure or a treatment going well. If something has been deferred, August is a reasonable month to schedule it.

The caution is the Full Moon on your own rashi on the 17th, with Rahu in the same house. A lunation on the sign tends to disturb sleep and amplify whatever the body is already doing; the knees, joints and skin are the classical Makara weak points, and Saturn debilitated in your fourth adds to fatigue at home.
