Where the 5th and 12th Lordship Comes From

Venus owns Taurus and Libra. Counting from Gemini as the first house, Taurus is the 12th and Libra is the 5th — which is the whole of it. Two signs, two houses — the 5th and the 12th from Gemini — and the verdict on diamond turns on which of the two carries more weight.

Gemini is the case the one-line tables cannot handle. The 5th is a trikona and argues for the stone; the 12th is a dusthana and argues against it. The Brihat Parashara Hora Shastra holds trikona lordship the stronger of the two, so the 5th carries and the verdict leans favourable. But leaning is not the same as settled, and a Gemini native with Venus in the 12th is not the same case as one with Venus well placed.

Wearing It Alongside Emerald

Emerald is the Gemini primary stone, because Mercury rules Gemini (Mithuna) and owns the 1st and the 4th from it. So the pairing a Gemini native is most likely to consider is diamond with emerald, and whether that is allowed depends on how Venus and Mercury rate each other.

Venus rates Mercury a friend, and Mercury rates Venus a friend. No enmity in either direction, so the combination is permitted — and mutual friendship is the strongest footing a pairing can have.

Venus in Gemini Itself

3. Set it in platinum / white gold with the back left open so the stone rests on skin, and wear it on the middle finger of the right hand. These follow Venus, not Gemini, so they differ from what the Gemini primary stone asks for.
4. Wash the ring in raw milk, honey, ghee, curd and clean water, place it before Lakshmi, and chant ॐ द्रां द्रीं द्रौं सः शुक्राय नमः — Om Draam Dreem Draum Sah Shukraya Namah — 16,000 times, or have the japa performed for you.
5. Put it on for the first time on Friday morning, and fast on Friday to support the same graha.
6. You may keep emerald, the Gemini primary stone, on at the same time, since Venus and Mercury carry no enmity either way. Observe the first thirty days and remove it if anything worsens sharply.

Because the 5th and the 12th pulls in two directions from Gemini, the trial matters more here than it does for a straightforward recommendation. Tie the stone to the arm or wear it for three to seven days before committing to a setting.

The Ascendants Diamond Reads Differently For
