The 3rd Lord in the 11th House

The 3rd lord in the 11th house is the ruler of the 3rd, the Sahaja Bhava, placed in the 11th, the Labha Bhava. The 3rd is an upachaya and the 11th an upachaya, so the 3rd lord in the 11th joins two houses of the same class. Which graha that lord is depends on the ascendant, so the table below answers for all twelve.

Counted from the 3rd, the 11th is the 9th house, which from any house is a trikona position; counted back from the 11th, the 3rd is the 5th, a trikona position from it.
