The Ascendant in Swati Nakshatra

A lagna in Swati, the 15th nakshatra, means Libra rising, whichever pada the degree is in, with Venus as lagna lord. Swati itself is ruled by Rahu. Between Venus and Rahu the friendship lists have no entry in at least one direction.

These are durations, not clock times. When Swati actually rises depends on the date and the longitude, and a birth time a few minutes out moves the ascendant through a pada.
