Virgo Rashifal December 2027 (Kanya Rashi): Jupiter Spends the Whole Month on Your Sign Inside a Single Pada, While Your Ruler Stays Burnt
Published 2026-08-22 | Live Pandit Ji
Jupiter is on Kanya Rashi for every one of December’s thirty-one days, and it hardly moves while it is there. It begins the month at 0°32′ of your sign and ends it at 3°03′ — two degrees thirty-one minutes in thirty-one days, the slowest of any planet this month, against a Mercury that covers forty-nine degrees in the same period.
That means it spends the whole month inside a single pada. Uttara Phalguni pada 2 runs from 0°00′ to 3°20′ of Virgo — the first quarter your sign holds — and Jupiter is inside it from the 1st to the 31st, finishing the year seventeen arcminutes short of crossing into pada 3. Seventeen arcminutes is about six days of Jupiter’s current motion. It comes that close and does not cross.
Set against that, your own ruler is invisible for the entire month. Mercury is inside the Sun’s glare on all thirty-one days, exact with it at 3:46 am on Sunday 12 December. So December gives Kanya the greatest benefic parked on the rashi and takes away the planet that runs the sign. Both facts are true at once, and the month makes sense only when you hold them together.
A Benefic On Your Sign, But Not a Comfortable One
This page will not oversell Jupiter on the rashi, because there is a qualification the classical texts are clear about. Virgo is Mercury’s sign, and in the traditional friendship table Mercury is Jupiter’s enemy. This is not debilitation — Jupiter’s fall is Capricorn, not Virgo — but it is an unfriendly host. Jupiter in Kanya tends to make its expansive nature run through a critical, detail-minded, measuring sign, and the result is smaller and more precise than Jupiter elsewhere.
In practice that reads as growth you can audit. A Jupiter transit over the rashi in a friendly sign brings luck you cannot account for. Here it brings improvement you can trace to something you actually did. For a sign that distrusts unearned good fortune anyway, that is arguably the better version.
The other half of the benefit is the aspects. A planet throws its fifth, seventh and ninth aspects, and from your own sign those fall on your fifth, seventh and ninth houses. Your fifth house holds Rahu all month, Venus from the 15th and an exalted Mars from the 27th. Your seventh house holds Saturn. Your ninth house takes the Full Moon on the 13th. Jupiter aspects every one of them, every day of the month.
Your Ruler Is Burnt for All Thirty-One Days
The arithmetic is not marginal. Mercury begins December about six degrees from the Sun, comes to the Sun’s exact degree at 3:46 am on Sunday 12 December — 25°23′ of Scorpio, in Jyeshtha pada 3 — and is still only about eleven degrees away on the 31st. The classical orb for asta is twelve degrees for a direct Mercury. Your ruler does not step outside it once.
It is combust in your third house until 2:03 am on Wednesday 15 December and your fourth after it, with the Sun following at 4:33 pm on the 16th. The third is communication, siblings, short journeys and everything written; the fourth is home, mother and property. So the first fortnight is the wrong time for a document about a message, a contract or a local arrangement, and the second is the wrong time for one about a house.
What it is not is slow. Mercury is direct all month and travels 49°08′, more sky than any other planet covers. A burnt Mercury omits rather than stalls: things get agreed, quickly, and the part that was not said turns out to matter. For a sign that runs on Mercury, the correct response is the one you are already inclined to — write it down, on the day, in your own words.
Saturn Turns Direct in Your Seventh House
Saturn holds Pisces, your seventh house, for all thirty-one days, and it never leaves Revati pada 4 — the last quarter of the last nakshatra of the last sign of the zodiac. It drifts backwards from 27°16′ to 26°50′ and turns direct at 8:45 am on Friday 24 December.
We print a station to the minute while we would not print an ingress at this speed, and the difference matters. A station is the moment a planet’s apparent motion reverses, which follows from the geometry between the Earth and that planet and from nothing else at all. A sign boundary crossing at twenty-six arcminutes a month depends on where the boundary sits, and that depends on the ayanamsa the table uses. One is intrinsic; the other is a convention, and conventions do not get minutes on this site.
Saturn retrograde in the seventh has been the transit of a partnership question that keeps being reopened: the same terms revisited, the same doubt raised again, the same delay in a marriage or a business agreement. From the 24th it moves forward, with Jupiter aspecting the same house from your rashi throughout. That combination — a benefic’s aspect on a seventh house whose malefic tenant has stopped going backwards — is the best argument December offers for settling something with a partner.
Your Fifth House Collects Three Bodies
Capricorn is your fifth house, and it goes from one tenant to three inside twelve days. Rahu holds it all month, drifting backwards from 10°55′ to 9°17′ and reversing out of Shravana into Uttara Ashadha on Saturday 18 December — a day rather than a minute, because the node moves about three arcminutes an hour. Venus arrives at 8:06 am on the 15th. Mars arrives exalted at 12:57 pm on Monday 27 December.
Around Thursday 23 December, Venus comes to Rahu’s own degree there at 9°44′ of Capricorn. That is a day and not a clock time for a reason worth stating: our table computes the node on the mean model, mean and true node can stand as much as one and three-quarter degrees apart, and Venus covers a little over a degree a day, so the other model moves the event by more than a day. A minute here would be precision we do not have.
The fifth is children, study, creative work and speculation. Venus there favours the creative and the romantic; Rahu there exaggerates both; an exalted Mars there in the last five days supplies drive. With Jupiter aspecting the house from your own sign for all thirty-one days, the reading is genuinely good for anything you are making or studying — and genuinely bad for anything speculative, because Rahu in the fifth with Venus on its degree is how a bet comes to look like a certainty.

Week by Week
Thirty-one days from a Wednesday to a Friday, which gives five Wednesdays — the 1st, 8th, 15th, 22nd and 29th. Wednesday is your ruler’s weekday, and the 15th is the one that carries two sign changes.
1–7 December
Jupiter settles into the opening degrees of your sign and your ruler is already inside the Sun’s glare in your third house. Venus enters Purva Ashadha at 8:22 pm on Wednesday the 1st, the Sun enters Jyeshtha at 1:28 pm on Friday the 3rd, Mars enters Purva Ashadha at 11:16 pm on Sunday the 5th, Mercury enters Jyeshtha at 2:24 pm on Monday the 6th. Vivah Panchami falls on Friday 3 December. Send nothing final in writing this week.
8–14 December
The deepest part of your ruler’s burning, and the month’s first lunation. Mokshada Ekadashi and Geeta Jayanti fall on Thursday 9 December; the Sun and Mercury reach the same degree in your third house at 3:46 am on Sunday the 12th, with Venus changing nakshatra at 3:15 pm; the Full Moon forms in your ninth house at 9:38 pm on Monday the 13th. Keep the 12th free of anything that needs a clear head about a contract.
15–21 December
The handover week. Your ruler crosses into your fourth house at 2:03 am and Venus into your fifth at 8:06 am on Wednesday the 15th; Dhanu Sankranti brings the Sun across at 4:33 pm on Thursday the 16th with Kharmas following; Rahu reverses nakshatra on Saturday the 18th; the Moon reaches Kanya at 7:49 am on Monday the 20th and joins Jupiter there.
22–28 December
The busiest week. The Moon leaves your sign at 12:13 pm on Wednesday the 22nd; Venus meets Rahu’s degree in your fifth house on Thursday the 23rd, with three nakshatra crossings the same day; Saturn turns direct in your seventh at 8:45 am on Friday the 24th; Mars arrives exalted in your fifth at 12:57 pm on Monday the 27th; the New Moon forms in your fourth at 1:42 am on Tuesday the 28th. The partnership week of the year.
29–31 December
Three days with Jupiter still on your sign, Saturn moving forward in your seventh, and an exalted Mars in your fifth. The Sun enters Purva Ashadha at 6:44 pm on Wednesday the 29th. Jupiter ends the year seventeen arcminutes short of leaving the pada it has held all month, which means January opens with the same aspect pattern intact.
Career and Money for Kanya Rashi
Your tenth house, Gemini, takes no graha in December beyond the Moon’s ordinary passage — but Gemini is Mercury’s sign, and Mercury is combust all month. So your career house is empty and its lord is invisible. That is not a bad month at work; it is a quiet one, in which nothing is decided about your position and nothing needs to be.
Money is better placed than that suggests. Jupiter on your rashi aspects your fifth and ninth houses all month, both of them houses of gain in the wider sense, and the Full Moon lands in your ninth at 9:38 pm on Monday 13 December. Your eleventh house of income holds Ketu in Pushya throughout, which reads as detachment from gains rather than absence of them — the money is there and you have stopped counting it.
The specific caution is speculation. Rahu in your fifth house all month, with Venus on its degree around the 23rd, is the configuration that makes a punt feel like an analysis. For a sign that genuinely can analyse, that is a dangerous flattery. Our financial remedies, career remedies and Rahu–Ketu remedies pages cover the practice.
Home, Family and Partnership
Partnership is December’s live subject for Kanya. Saturn has been retrograde in your seventh house and turns direct at 8:45 am on Friday 24 December, while Jupiter aspects that same house from your own sign for all thirty-one days. A malefic that stops retreating under a benefic’s aspect is about as good as a seventh house with Saturn in it gets.
The calendar, however, closes. Dhanu Kharmas begins at Dhanu Sankranti, 4:33 pm on Thursday 16 December, and runs into the middle of January, shutting sixteen of the month’s thirty-one days for marriage — including the week the station falls in. Vivah Panchami falls on Friday 3 December, inside the open fortnight. The marriage muhurat page for December 2027 has the surviving dates, and our marriage delay page is the reading for a stalled match.
At home, the New Moon forms in your fourth house at 1:42 am on Tuesday 28 December, with the Sun and a combust Mercury both there. A New Moon in the fourth is a real beginning for the household — but with Mercury burnt in the same house, sign the paperwork for a property in January rather than in the last week of December. The griha pravesh page has dates.
Health
Your sixth house, Aquarius, takes no graha this month, and Jupiter sits on your own sign for all thirty-one days aspecting three others. That combination is about as favourable as a December gets for constitution: nothing is pressing on the house of illness and the benefic is on the ascendant sign itself. If there is a treatment to begin or a habit to change, the month supports it.
The caution is administrative. Mercury is combust for all thirty-one days, and it rules both your first house and your tenth — so tests, referrals, authorisations and second opinions are the things most likely to go astray. Confirm receipt of everything in writing, which is advice a Kanya native rarely needs to be given twice.
Kanya’s standing weak points are the digestion, the intestines and the nerves, and a combust ruler tends to show up as low-grade anxiety rather than illness. Your Chandra window is 7:49 am on Monday 20 December to 12:13 pm on Wednesday 22 December, with Tuesday the 21st as its full day, and the Moon spends the whole of it beside Jupiter on your sign. Remedies for Kanya Rashi in December 2027
Four conditions define the month: Jupiter on your own sign for all thirty-one days inside a single pada, aspecting your fifth, seventh and ninth houses throughout; Mercury combust for all thirty-one days and exact with the Sun at 3:46 am on 12 December; Saturn turning direct in your seventh house at 8:45 am on the 24th; and your fifth house collecting Rahu, Venus from the 15th and an exalted Mars from the 27th.
- Guru practice on the five Thursdays — 2, 9, 16, 23 and 30 December: yellow cloth, chana dal, turmeric, and something given to a teacher. Jupiter is on your sign for every day of the month and this is the direct remedy.
- Budh practice on the five Wednesdays — 1, 8, 15, 22 and 29 December: green cloth, moong dal, Ganesha, and something written by hand. Your ruler is burnt all month.
- Write down what was agreed, on the day it was agreed: a combust Mercury omits rather than delays, and it rules your sign.
- Settle the partnership question in the last week: Saturn turns direct in your seventh at 8:45 am on Friday the 24th under Jupiter’s aspect from your own sign.
- Nothing speculative in December: Rahu holds your fifth house all month and Venus reaches its degree around Thursday the 23rd, which is when a bet starts to look like a calculation.
- Property paperwork in January, not the last week of December: the New Moon forms in your fourth house on the 28th with a burnt Mercury standing in it.
- Fix nothing to the marriage calendar after the 16th: Kharmas runs from Dhanu Sankranti to the middle of January.
In Summary
For Kanya Rashi, December 2027 holds two facts in tension. Jupiter sits on your own sign for all thirty-one days, crossing only 2°31′ and never leaving Uttara Phalguni pada 2 — the first quarter Virgo holds — and it ends the year seventeen arcminutes short of the next pada, aspecting your fifth, seventh and ninth houses the whole time. And Mercury, which rules your sign, is inside the Sun’s twelve-degree asta orb on every one of those thirty-one days, exact with it at 3:46 am on Sunday 12 December.
Around them: Saturn turning direct in your seventh house at 8:45 am on Friday 24 December after a retrograde leg that kept reopening the same partnership question; your fifth house collecting Rahu all month, Venus from 8:06 am on Wednesday 15 December and an exalted Mars from 12:57 pm on Monday 27 December, with Venus on the node’s degree around Thursday 23 December; the Full Moon in your ninth at 9:38 pm on Monday 13 December; and the New Moon in your fourth at 1:42 am on Tuesday 28 December.
All of this is computed for a whole sign, which is thirty degrees of sky and a great many different lives. Where Jupiter and Mercury sit in your own chart, which of the nine Kanya padas holds your natal Moon, and which dasha is running decide how much of a benefic on the rashi actually reaches you. A benefic on your sign, a burnt ruler above it
Whether Jupiter on Kanya reaches you as growth or as pressure depends on where Jupiter and Mercury sit in your own chart, which pada holds your natal Moon, and which dasha is running.
