The 1st Lord in the 6th House

The 1st lord in the 6th house is the ruler of the 1st, the Lagna / Tanu Bhava, placed in the 6th, the Ari / Shatru Bhava. The 1st is a kendra and a trikona and the 6th a dusthana and an upachaya. Which graha that lord is depends on the ascendant, so the table below answers for all twelve.

Counted from the 1st, the 6th is the 6th house, which from any house is a dusthana and an upachaya position; counted back from the 6th, the 1st is the 8th, a dusthana position from it.

For Taurus (Venus) and Scorpio (Mars) one graha rules both the 1st and the 6th, so there is nothing to exchange.
