Jupiter in the 8th House

Jupiter, a benefic graha signifying children, teachers and gurus, higher learning, dharma, wealth, and the husband in a woman's chart, placed in the bhava of longevity, sudden events, inheritance, occult, transformation, in-laws, joint finances — that pairing is the whole of what Jupiter in the 8th house means before a chart is opened. The 8th house does not look to Jupiter for its significations though — it looks to Saturn for longevity — so Jupiter here colours this bhava’s matters without representing them, and the karaka’s own condition has to be read separately from this placement.
