Mars in the 10th House

Mars, a malefic graha signifying younger siblings, land and property, weapons, surgery, engineering, the armed forces, placed in the bhava of career, reputation, authority, public status, profession, achievements, government — that pairing is the whole of what Mars in the 10th house means before a chart is opened. The 10th house does not look to Mars for its significations though — it looks to Saturn for profession, Sun and Mercury for status — so Mars here colours this bhava’s matters without representing them, and the karaka’s own condition has to be read separately from this placement.

Under Kaal Purush the 10th Is Capricorn

In the natural chart the 10th house is Capricorn, so Mars here is exalted — deepest at 28° of Capricorn.
